| 2001-02 Educational Program
The Performance and Planning Exchange will be offering an exciting educational
program during the coming year. This program will respond to your interests
as expressed in the recent membership survey.
A variety of educational events will be offered- some free!
- Learning Events (modest registration fee)
- Information Events (mostly free)
- Exchange Forum Events (very modest registration fee subsidized by the PPX
with limited registration to ensure that all participants have the opportunity
to join in discussion of ideas, issues, successes, concerns etc.)
The majority of events will be designed for duration of two hours. Coffee, danish
and muffins will be available at 8:00am and the event will run from 8:30 to
10:30am.
The PPX is currently finalizing its educational program for the first half of
the year 2002 (including the annual symposium on May 22 and 23, 2002).
- On December 5, 2001 the PPX is organizing a Learning Event entitled The
Results Chain.
- In January the PPX will offer a two session Learning Event on Linking
Results to Resources.
- In February the PPX will offer an Exchange Forum on Results in a Policy
Environment.
- Information Events are also being considered for this period.
Beginning with The Results Chain, PPX in future Learning Events
will offer you the opportunity to learn more about performance measurement techniques
and approaches, such as the balanced scorecard, and how federal departments
and agencies are implementing them. The PPX will also offer you the opportunity
to learn about business intelligence systems developed by several market leaders
for collecting, storing, monitoring and reporting performance data, as well
as linking results to resources.
You are encouraged to frequently visit the PPX website
to check on the topics and dates of the educational program.
