PPX – Nomination Committee
Terms of Reference
Mandate
The overall mandate of the Nominations Committee is stated in ARTICLES III and VI of the PPX Constitution:
“The Board shall be elected from the membership at the annual meeting from candidates put forth by a Nominating Committee, duly appointed by the President sixty (60) days prior to the annual meeting. Candidates may also be put forward from the floor during the meeting. A vote is carried out under the supervision of the President or a Chair person approved through a vote of the Members. Those candidates receiving majority vote are elected as Members of the Board of Directors.”
And,
“The Nominating Committee accepts nominations from the Members for positions on the Board or for the Chair of a special committee. “
Governance and Membership

Scope of Work / Responsibilities

Identify, implement and monitor the effectiveness of established criteria for PPX Board membership |

Identify and implement strategies to attract, recruit and retain qualified Board members, including through the PPX Volunteers process |

Identify annually a slate of new, and returning PPX Board members to meet the organization’s needs |

Work out any supporting logistical details with Willow Group |
| • |
Work within the budget (costs and revenues) as directed by the Board |
Critical Success Factors

Experience, research, and reach of Nominations Committee members, including personal networks and contacts |
| • |
Direction from Board in identifying requisite competencies, skills, organizations and individuals to sustain/enhance PPX’ organizational health |

The ability to access / filter the quality of nominations based on imperfect information. |
